Here's the results from a recent
MSNBC news poll.:

OK. Maybe not so recent. The poll was put up in May and hasn't been taken down yet. It
could also be that having Digg and Reddit link to the poll may have jogged the numbers... a while ago the spice girls held a contest to let their "fans" choose which city they would open their concert in. It got posted on Reddit as "Vote to make the Spice girls go to Baghdad!" I personally might have, maybe, created a couple fictitious identities and voted for them to visit that city. In the end it lost out (narrowly) to
some other town.
When the internets meet the block vote, the people win. Or something.

If anyone should be held responsible for the atrocities of this administration in recent years, it is the American voter. Bush’s second term came as no surprise to anyone; it was a simple continuation of his first. This country sacrificed the lives of thousands upon thousands of human beings because they were homophobic, ignorant, and greedy. America sold some of its soul by popular vote in 2004, and now that the deed is done, we want to put the blame on someone other than ourselves, someone for whom we voted. It's too late for that
