I had a little "I love Portland" moment yesterday as I was driving down Wall street. I saw an old Galaxy or Thunderbird, you know, one of those 60's cars that look like a huge chocolate bar. This car turned onto Wall ahead of me, nicely restored, sleek and mean looking, but in the back window ledge thing were these fluffy stuffed animals. I think a deer and a puppy or something. Like grandma has, right? A bit incongruous. But when this car stepped on the brakes, the eyes of the animals glowed red in sync with the brake lights. It was hilarious and super-cool simultaneously.
