Erin, Jason, Lia and I saw the [worst/best/none of the above] movie yesterday. I'm really that confused by The Wicker Man. It would be the worst were it not for some incredibly [stupid/awesome] scenes, such as when Nicholas Cage, dressed in a bear suit, decks some girl. Except it's supposed to be a horror/thriller movie. And the rest of the film is straight. Bad, bad, bad, but straight. Or is it? I mean, it's SO bad..I mean they must have known, right? So maybe they made it even worse on purpose? Plus, it's dedicated to Joey Ramone. Is that some kind of clue?
Nobody seemed to know what was going on in the film, the characters least of all, and we were all subjected to the worst cliches over and over and over. They did, and this is Jason's favorite part, they did the "psych-out dream bit" TWICE. ONE RIGHT AFTER THE OTHER. Like, Oh my god I'm on fire... psych! Only a dream! Except YOU'RE REALLY ON FIRE! OH! PSYCH AGAIN! *THAT* WAS A DREAM!
Man. What a film. I'd like someone else to see it so I can get another opinion, but I'd hate to subject anyone elsse to THE HORROR.

Moral of the movie:
A good woman, is like a bee. If you're allergic to bees.
"I'm covered in bees!"-Eddie Izzard

i saw the original on VHS many years ago, it sounds to me like the remake is equally incomprehensibly intentioned. I also could not tell if I was amused, confused or terrified by that film.
