Dang. Had to stop myself from writing one of those "I'm really sorry for not posting" non-posts.

Erin and I have been doing well. She's been keeping me busy buying furniture. Which is good, on the one hand, because I'm quite sure that without her impetus I would be sitting in a living room with just a TV and a bunch of newspaper piled and nested up around me, a cold light from the tube illuminating my pale and shaking figure. On the other hand, it is bad, because Erin has a kind of pit bull approach to furniture acquisition : once the target has been locked on, there is no shaking her. Combine this ferocious attitude with the vagaries of the world of Craigslist and you get one very tired minion (me), who now knows the back way to every danish-modern-furniture-having ranch style house from here to Wilsonville. Happily, I think we have reached a détente, and a good thing too because there is no more room to put furniture without possibly stacking it on top of other furniture.

In other news, Narnia is a STEAMING COIL! Do not be fooled by the trailers featuring jaguars, cheetahs and rhinoceros fighting minotaurs and bat-creatures as Erin and I were. The movie is long, and it sucks. Please do, however read it's review in the most recent New Yorker, as it contains the best/worst pun I have ever read. I won't give it away here.

Aeon Flux also sux, sadly. The first twenty minutes were rockin', but we sat through the rest of the film wishing that somebody had pulled the plug on the projector after that time had expired. My advice: drop your acid as the trailers start. This should allow you enough time to appreciate the good first part and then you can stare at your hands for the rest of the film.
