Mr. and Mrs. America and all the ships at sea! Post!

A response to Mattieu, who writes expressing concern that this blog is "dead":

Mais non, mon frere! She is not dead, the blog! She does, however, need some fixin', like a record store without the Nixons. And, to be honest, my time of late has been spent working my ass off and then being hot. For instance, currently I am stealing time from work to write this. I do not, however, feel the slightest twinge of guilt, for this place at which I work has been the cause of much consternation for me of late. To wit:

I am freelancing here in hopes that they will give me a job. Which they said they would when I first walked in the door. But now... nothing! Three weeks have passed and still they tell me nothing! I need to know so I can start moving here for reals! I've got a dog waiting for me for chissake! I'm living in a fucking attic! It's ten fucking million degrees!

I'd tell these guys to take a flying leap, but prospects in the area have been slight, so I must grasp firmly to these moldy and ill-smelling straws.

So! Sorry about the no-post. I've actually been writing in my regular journal more, and planning to scan the pages in from that and post them here... soon, my friend, soon!

Not having the internet at home hurts as well.

Le sigh.
