OK. Downloaded Ju-on 1 and Ju-on 2, so I'm ready for a full on ju-on-a-thon. The horror!

And speaking of pirates, the UNESCO club and myself watched "Pirates of the Carribean" today after class, and I'm a bit shocked to find myself reporting that I enjoyed it. Depp as a goth pirate just gets me, I guess. Is it wrong to have homoerotic fantasies about him? Does that make me gay?

I also loved all the nautical terms in that movie. My favorite parts are where the captains are barking orders. "Break your backs on that capstan and make ready the jibsheet!" That kind of thing. Why do I love that stuff so much? "Dead-eyes", "high-sails" and "lazy-jacks". How did the talk of illiterate sailors come to sound so cool?

Also they do my favorite pirate movie thing and load the cannon with cutlery and stuff (I forget what that's called). Just like my favorite submarine movie thing that they always do is blow junk and oil out the balast tanks. I don't know why I love that stuff either.
