Yesterday went to see the remake of Dawn of the Dead, and I have to say I liked it. The reason: 70% faster zombies. I know I've been on both sides of the "slow and inevitable" vs. "fast and oh-my-God they're coming" debate, but in this movie fast was good. Kinda strange though was how the cinematography kinda ripped off "28 Days" which in turn kinda ripped off the original "Dawn", so that in the end I wasn't sure what was ripped off by who and what was homage and to whom it was paid.
Before the movie I played the Walking the Dog simulation game at the arcade. They love simulation here, from relationships to rock guitars to driving the frickin trains or busses (both big hits), but this game trumps all. The game interface is through a treadmill and a leash. You must at times walk slowly or run (after catching frisbees I was out of breath), and steer your dog away from tossed-out onigiri and fish bones, mad crows and English bull dogs, and towards his favorite pee-spots. After urinating, your dog enters a kind of psycheadelic doggie vortex of bliss. Great game.
Also, 5.10 route at rock gym completed. Yay me! It's a long way to 5.10d though.
