Had a strange dream about Kino, my dog, last night. She's an all-white german Sheppard-wolf hybrid. I was petting her but then perspective changed and I kept getting closer to her. Not in a microscopic way, like where all those cartoon fleas live and chew on hairs like treetrunks, but like her fur just became this landscape, rolling out beneath me to a vast horizon both distant and obscure, yet at the same time close enough to touch.

I miss my dog alot. I picture our reunion frequently. She runs full speed at me, ears pinned for maximum acceleration. Jumps with muddy paws on my chest. SLAM. I retaliate with a fake WWF takedown. The scene plays on in my head, Kino running circles around me that grow ever distant.

Okay, I'm not frequently wont to do this, but I'm in the mood so here's a dog poem I... nah. I'll put it in the "things I like" page. That way if you hate poetry you don't hafta read it and it won't be sitting here making my journal look pretentious.
