OK. I know whenever somebody tells me to go out and get something or listen to something, my first reaction is to respond with a recommendation of my own until it escalates into some kind of who's cooler battle. But we're really just in a race to share something about ourselves, right? Everyone is overfull with something and has to pour it into somebody. But also... Music is like a room you can sit in with somebody at the same time. And look out this window at the same moment. Just to have them nod their head because they understand exactly what's going on at this moment and that in some way it's perfect.

So if I tell you from time to time what I'm listening to, it's not because I want you to think I'm cool. Well, okay I do, I mean who doe... anyway, it's mostly because I want to have someone in that room with me for a minute.
