In the movie Stardust, which Erin, Jason and I went to see yesterday, Claire Danes says about love that it can be "strangely easy to confuse with loathing," and there's something about this line that really encapsulates this movie.

Yesterday, I was quick to point out the film's faults to my wife and friend—and there's enough there for conversation–but now I find that I just can't get it out of my mind. DeNiro was flat (but his character is so cute!), the pacing was bad (not that bad, really, and who doesn't love a montage?), and the ending was so saccharine sweet and predictable it made you want to gag (but don't you secretly love happy endings?).

If I'm this confused, it must be love.
